Our sincerest thanks goes to all that got their 2024 Filò Gala ticket and helped us reach our goal in record time.
We are pleased to invite you to the 21st Annual Filò Gala Fundraiser held for the first time at Marconi Centre! We are excited to present you with a fun-filled evening of good food, good drinks, good music, good company, entertainment and overall…good times.
Your evening will begin with a fine cheese reception, a glorious 5 course gourmet meal, a cash bar, a Silent Auction, dancing with DJ Momentum accompanied by Special Guest Regina Bianca to keep us entertained and set the mood. There will be a photobooth to create memories with the ladies you surround yourself with and plenty of opportunities to connect and converse with the women of our community. And let’s not forget our door prizes and Grand Prize of a Black Pearl Necklace from Davidson’s Jewellers valued at $500!
As in the past, we will honour the women of our community that continue to inspire and lead by example, with our prestigious Filò Award.
Nominations are now open, so if you know of a deserving woman in our community, please take a moment to fill in the Nominations form on her behalf. The deadline is February 5, 2024.
Proceeds of our ticket sales and our Silent Auction will go to the Ottawa Food Bank and as always Villa Marconi Long Term Care. In honour of our Italian heritage as women, our legacy is to show our affection through food… to feed and nurture the masses. People are hungry right here in our own community, so it is our obligation to help those closest to home. In collaboration with The Ottawa Food Bank and Marconi Centre, we will have a drop-off bin situated at the entrance of Marconi Centre (glass doors) for any non-perishable food items beginning Friday February 23rd to Friday March 1st , for your drop off donation in addition to the monetary donation that we will make that will allow them to purchase what is missing. Their buying power is set at 1 to 5. Meaning, for every $1 we donate, it allows them to purchase $5 worth of food. So, your presence at our Gala Fundraiser will help us feed many people. It only costs $16 to put food on the table for a family of 4. Every dollar counts.
