The Filò awards recognize women of Italian heritage in the Ottawa area who are an inspiration and role model for other women in the Italian community. The awards are selected by an independent Selection Committee.

Who can be nominated?
Women of Italian heritage who, through their commitment and dedication, have made significant contributions to the social, cultural or economic well-being of the Ottawa community.
Questions to consider when making a nomination:
- What volunteer work has the nominee performed?
- Which community organizations has the nominee volunteered with?
- How long has she volunteered? What was her role in the organization?
- What impact has her contribution made in the betterment of the community?
- Has the nominee inspired others in the community? If so, how?
- Reason why candidate should be considered for an award.

To nominate a candidate, please complete the Nomination Form in English or Italian. Any additional letters of support or related material may be attached.
The deadline for nominations is February 5, 2024.
